All raw materials are purchased from certified Italian and European suppliers, with which the GB Group has held long-term relations. GBL ensures that every consignment is checked for conformity and assigned a batch code that guarantees the traceability of the finished product. It is then stored in a climate-controlled environment and managed on a first-in, first-out basis.
GBL has developed extensive know-how in the transformation and processing of materials, and the ability to always respond to the countless requests of its clients in an appropriate manner. This has allowed the company to reduce possible manufacturing problems to a minimum, keeping waste and offcuts under control and thus optimising management costs.
The generic term “elastomer” applies to natural or synthetic substances that have the chemical and physical properties of rubber, such as the capacity to withstand extensive deformation. They can be stretched to various times their own lengths and return to their original shape at rest.
Thermoplastic polymers are polymers composed of unbound (unreticulated) linear chains or chains characterised by low levels of branching. They can therefore be brought to a viscose state and therefore moulded simply by heating them.
Rubberised fabrics are elastomers reinforced with fabric to improve mechanical resistance at high pressure.
